Hola everybody! Or as we say in The Netherlands: hallo allemaal!😁
This is your chance to visit the Netherlands! This Summer University will go to Amsterdam, a city that doesn’t need any introduction all around the world, and Nijmegen, the oldest city in The Netherlands!😲
We will also go to another big and important city in The Netherlands, which is called Utrecht. All of these cities have a lot of history, and it will feel like you have traveled back in time at some places!🏛
But don’t worry, there are a lot of things we are going to do! City tours, Dutch culture and cooking workshops (stroopwafels!!), pub crawls, a cantus 🍻(a typical Dutch student activity which involves singing songs and drinking (a lot of) beer) and we will go to The Walk of The World! Also known as the International Four Days Marches, including the Vierdaagsefeesten. That is known as one of the biggest festivities in The Netherlands, drawing a crowd of 1 million visitors from Saturday till Friday. 🕺With free music, special events each day and a lot more! 💃🏻As an optional program you can join the Heineken Experience with an Amsterdam canal cruise!

Optional programme: Heineken Experience + canal cruise
Get an amazing tour through Amsterdam’s most famous brewery and learn all about the rich history of Heinken and get to know the key to perfectly brewed beer. Afterwards we will hop on a canal cruise where we will learn Amsterdam’s cultural heritage ending our tour on the highest lookout point of Amsterdam!
Theme: The theme of this SU is history/traveling back in time. It is about discovering beautiful ancient places in The Netherlands, learning more about history and doing traditional Dutch activities. We will be visiting ancient cities like Amsterdam, Utrecht and Nijmegen and learn all about their rich history during our stay! Accomodation: Gym.
