The Safe Person Committee of AEGEE-Europe and AEGEE-Valladolid are inviting you to apply to a Safe Person Training event and become a Safe Person π‘οΈ.
The Safe Person Committee is a body within AEGEE that aims to make AEGEE a Safe Space 𧑠and tackle any and all forms of Sexual Harassment π«. The Committee ensures we have trained members who can prevent, detect, and react to cases of sexual harassment β οΈ. In order to fulfil its aim, SPC organises training for AEGEE members to develop Safe Persons π₯.
The training aims to broaden the knowledge of its participants on the topic of Sexual Harassment π§ and equip them with techniques and methods to tackle harassment π οΈ. More precisely, it prepares the Safe Persons to be able to prevent, detect, and react to cases of Sexual Harassment during AEGEE events π―.
The training lasts for 5 days π

* The first day is reserved for broadening knowledge about the topic and exchanging experiences among participants π¬.
* The following days aim to develop the skills needed to detect, prevent, and respond to sexual harassment π§©.
π’ In addition to the training sessions, there will be a Social Programme π\! During this time, we will explore the beautiful city of Valladolid π°, enjoy a karaoke night π€, a movie evening π¬, and other fun activities designed to help participants connect and relax. Participation in the Social Programme is optional π.
π Accommodation Information:
Participants will be staying in a hostel ποΈ with shared rooms that have comfortable beds and only a few people per room, ensuring privacy and rest π΄. This setup is designed to provide optimal conditions for learning and engagement throughout the training sessions πβ¨.
The training is open to all AEGEE members π, and no previous knowledge is required π. However, it is expected that participants are interested in the topic and are willing to dedicate themselves to working as Safe Persons throughout their AEGEE career π€.
The training will take place in Valladolid πͺπΈ between the 22nd and 27th of July, with the 22nd and 27th being the arrival and departure dates βοΈπ§³.
