Novruz, meaning “New Day”, is one of the most beloved and meaningful celebrations in Azerbaijan, symbolizing renewal, spring, and unity 🌞. Deeply rooted in ancient traditions, Novruz reflects the country’s rich cultural heritage, vibrant customs, and warm hospitality.
AEGEE-Bakı is happy to invite European youth to the International Novruz Festival, taking place 17–23 March in Azerbaijan 🌱. The festival combines celebrations in Baku with visits to one of Azerbaijan’s culturally rich regions - Sheki, offering participants an authentic experience of how Novruz is celebrated across the country.
The program includes participation in traditional Novruz celebrations, folk games and competitions, cultural quests, workshops in art, music, and dance, visits to museums and cultural sites, and exploration of local Novruz fairs 🫖. Through shared experiences, participants will discover Azerbaijani traditions, history, and festive spirit.
Join us to welcome spring together and experience Novruz in its most colorful, joyful, and genuine form ✨.
