Have you ever heard about the European Youth Goals? No, well, these goals summarise the issues that affect young people in Europe, and showcase in which areas changes still need to be made. The current eleven European Youth Goals were initially created in 2017 - 2018 by considering the input of 50,000 young people across all EU countries.
But recently, there has been a major realisation: these eleven goals do not reflect all the concerns of young people. Themes such as peace and security, quality of life, and digitalisation that have become more important for young people are missing. So that is why a consultation has been started by the European Youth Forum and the European Commission to further gather young people’s views on these themes.
As AEGEE, we want to bring the voices of young people across Europe into this conversation. So join us in our Focus Group where we will discuss in depth about peace and security, quality of life, and digitalisation, and what changes you want to see in Europe and European policy.
