As of today, it has been 582 days since Russia's war of has aggression started. It has also been 107 days that our Ukrainian friends have left AEGEE-Europe in response to the events happening at the Spring Agora. As the war is also not as present anymore as it used to be in the media, many of us are left without Ukrainian voices, points of views, and personal stories.
Following the first Open Meeting about AEGEE and Ukraine in June, we would like to offer another space for discussion on the relations between AEGEE and Ukraine. This is not only intended to reflect upon what happened at the AGORA, but also how AEGEE can step up support for UA in the future. It also remains pertinent since we understand that you and your locals might have questions and the desire to express your opinions before the Autumn Agora already - including a possible re-raising of the motion to suspend international AEGEE-Events on Russian territory. While as Help Ukraine Task Force members we do not claim to speak for Ukraine itself, we can still help to bring attention to the issue and bridge the gaps between dividing opinions among the network.
AEGEE members with special ties to Ukraine: We would especially love to have you as part of the discussion in order to share Ukrainian perspectives on the topic. AEGEE members that feel like it has been a longer time that you thought about AEGEE-Ukraine relations: We would also love to have you in the meeting, and to encourage you to invite fellow members of your antennae.
Should you have any questions or agenda points, feel free to reach out to us at any given moment at firstname.lastname@example.org.
