The 14th June 1985 was the date, the Schengen Agreement was signed and with it the cornerstone of the European Union was built: the free movement of people and goods within 26 countries in Europe. 35 years later the Covid-19 spread throughout Europe – and many of those opened borders are closed again. But what consequences result of the closed borders, for every single person, for society and the future of Europe if it’s not possible anymore to take ways, which took the most people for granted?
