We will have the opportunity to dig deeper into one of the most challenging and controversial issues related to mental health and climate crisis, Climate Anxiety.
According to the APA (American Psychiatric Association), the mental health consequences of events linked to a changing global climate include stress, high-risk coping behaviour such as increased alcohol use and, occasionally, mental disorders such as depression, anxiety and post-traumatic stress. For that reason, there is no doubt that this workshop will provide you with knowledge, strategies and resources to understand and manage Climate Anxiety.
Our distinguished speaker for the evening will be Chris Hausmann, a psychotherapist who is an expert in this wide field that is mental health and climate change. Moreover, he currently coordinates the support group of Psychologists for Future, an initiative that seeks the mental health improvement of climate activists as well as people who care about the climate in general. After the workshop, you will be able to ask questions to our speaker.
